American Red Cross Greater Los Angeles

About Us

Since 1916, the American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles has been providing disaster relief to local citizens. In addition, we train people in vital life-saving skills, including CPR and first aid, aquatics and water safety. Nearly 3,000 local volunteers assist us in providing our vital services to the community.

Our Communities

The American Red Cross of Greater Los Angeles is the second largest chapter in the nation. It serves a population of more than 6 million people in Los Angeles County (an area of 1,600 square miles), including 37 cities (see list below) and 13 unincorporated areas.

Located in eight locations around the Southland, our volunteers and staff are prepared to respond around the clock, 365 days a year to assure that Red Cross services are provided when they are needed.
